Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) has announced recruitment for 964 Sepoy General Duty (BPS-05) posts under its latest recruitment programme.
According to the recruitment advertisement, the vacancies will be filled under the prescribed provincial quota. Punjab has been allocated 482 seats, while 73 seats are reserved for Sindh (including rural and urban quotas), 111 for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 58 for Balochistan, 29 for the merged districts, 10 for Gilgit-Baltistan and 19 for Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The advertisement states that 5% of the posts will be reserved for minorities in accordance with government policy.
Candidates can submit their applications online through the Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) official website from August 17 to August 26, 2026. After registration, candidates will be required to appear at the designated recruitment centres according to the announced schedule.
Recruitment and selection will be conducted at centres in Lahore, Mandi Bahauddin, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan and Chakri (Islamabad). The advertisement lists September 23, 2026 as the recruitment date at these centres.
Applicants have been advised to carefully review the eligibility requirements and recruitment instructions before submitting their applications.
Earlier, the Government of Pakistan launched a new programme with the United Nations, the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) that can help to create better job opportunities.
The programme will support 20,000 people who are working in the health and care sector. This programme will help them improve their skills, find better jobs and access social protection.
Phases of the programme
The first phase of the programme will run from July 2026 to July 2027. During this period, the focus will be on improving the skills of 20,000 health and care workers.
