Qatar, Etihad flights cancelled from Islamabad

Flight operations of Qatar and Etihad Airways was suspended once again at Islamabad International Airport resulting in cancellation of several scheduled departures.

According to airport sources a Qatar Airways flight from Islamabad to Doha has been cancelled as an Etihad Airways flight bound for Abu Dhabi had also been called-off.

Meanwhile some airlines such as Emirates, Air Arabia and Flynas have resumed their flight operations with their flights departing according to the normal schedule.

Apart from the concerned airlines, domestic and international flight operation in Islamabad airport is running as usual, airport officials said.

Etihad Airways

Etihad has released its updated schedule for 10 March 2026, operating a limited number of flights from Abu Dhabi to key destinations. Passengers with confirmed bookings will be accommodated, and new tickets are available via etihad.com.

Qatar Airways starts limited operations

Earlier, Qatar Airways starts limited operations from London, Frankfurt, and other cities to Doha.

Additionally, flights coming from Paris, Madrid, Rome, and Bangkok to Doha will also operate.

In the message for their passengers, the airline requested that “passengers are kindly asked not to arrive at their departure airport unless they hold a valid confirmed ticket for travel.”

“The safety and well-being of our passengers and crew remain our highest priority during this period of disruption. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused by the current situation, which is beyond our control, and thank our passengers for their patience and understanding”, it added.

As Qatar Airways starts limited operations, many other airlines’ flights remain suspended due to the war launched by the US and Israel against Iran.

The airline and tourism industries are suffering as thousands of flights are being cancelled every day.
