Qatar has temporarily suspended the visa on arrival facility for Pakistani citizens, according to reports on Tuesday.
The decision was taken due to the current regional situation.
The Pakistani embassy has advised citizens to obtain a valid visa before travelling to Qatar.
It warned that passengers arriving without a visa may be denied entry or sent back from the airport.
The embassy asked travellers to complete their visa documents before departure.
It also advised them to confirm the latest information with Qatari authorities or visa centres to avoid any legal or travel issues.
Qatar had previously offered a visa on arrival to Pakistani citizens, but the facility has now been suspended for the time being due to rising regional tensions.
Qatar Airways issues update on flight operations
Qatar Airways has announced a revised flight schedule today with a gradual increase in operations to and from Doha.
The airline said its operations were affected by the ongoing Israel, US, and Iran conflict that began on February 28, 2026. The updated schedule will remain in effect until April 15.
Flights to and from Doha are continuing through special air corridors set up with the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority.
The airline has added more flights to over 90 destinations across its network.
Passengers with confirmed bookings for destinations that have been affected will be contacted directly with new flight details.
The airline said schedules may still change or flights may be cancelled due to operational or safety reasons.
Qatar Airways said it is working to ensure passengers reach their destinations while keeping safety as its top priority.
Passengers with bookings between February 28 and June 15 can change their travel dates free of charge until October 31, or request a refund for the unused part of their ticket.
