In an impressive display of batting, Islamabad United secured a commanding 8-wicket victory over Quetta Gladiators in the ninth match of PSL Season 11 at Gaddafi Stadium.

Chasing a competitive target of 184 runs, Islamabad United showed composure and confidence as they reached the total with 10 balls to spare. The chase was anchored by an unbeaten knock from opener Sameer Minhas, who smashed 82 runs and remained not out till the end.

Captain Shadab Khan led from the front with a brilliant innings of 69 not out, providing strong support to Minhas and ensuring there were no late hiccups in the chase. Earlier in the innings, Devon Conway contributed 18 runs before being dismissed.

For Quetta Gladiators, Abrar Ahmed was the standout bowler, claiming two wickets, but his efforts were not enough to stop Islamabad’s dominant batting lineup. The victory adds important points to Islamabad United’s campaign, highlighting their strong form and batting depth in the tournament.

Captain Saud Shakeel led from the front with a steady 42 runs, while Hassan Nawaz played an impressive innings, scoring 66 to anchor the batting effort. Shamil Hussain contributed 21 runs, Khawaja Nafi added 18, and Tom Karan provided a late boost with 29 runs.

For Islamabad United, Shadab Khan was the standout bowler, claiming three wickets to keep his side in the contest. Islamabad United will now need 184 runs to secure victory in this crucial PSL encounter.
