QUETTA: Security forces have killed eighteen terrorists belonging to Indian proxy, Fitna al Hindustan, in two separate operations in Chiltan Mountains, Quetta District, Balochistan.
An intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted in general area Chiltan Mountains, Quetta District on reported presence of terrorists. During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, and after an intense fire exchange, fourteen Indian sponsored terrorists were sent to hell.
In another IBO conducted in general area Buleda, Kech District, a terrorist hideout was busted and four terrorists were successfully neutralized.
Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities.
Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorist found in the area as relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
Earlier, seven militants linked to the Indian-backed group Fitna al Khwarij were killed during an intelligence-based operation carried out by Pakistani security forces in the Dogar area of Kurram District on Tuesday, the ISPR said.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), troops launched the operation after receiving reports about the presence of the militants in the area.
During the exchange of fire, seven militants were killed as security forces engaged their positions effectively.
However, six Pakistani soldiers, including a young army officer, were martyred in the operation.
Captain Noman Saleem, 24, a medical officer from Mianwali, embraced martyrdom while providing medical support and fighting alongside his comrades.
The other soldiers who laid down their lives were Havildar Amjad Ali, 39, from Swabi; Naik Waqas Ahmad, 36, from Rawalpindi; Sepoy Aijaz Ali, 23, from Shikarpur; Sepoy Muhammad Waleed, 23, from Jhelum; and Sepoy Muhammad Shahbaz, 32, from Khairpur.
The ISPR said a sanitisation operation was under way in the area to clear any remaining presence of militants.
