In a successful intelligence-based operation (IBO), security forces have killed ten Indian-sponsored terrorists in the Ghaza Band area near Quetta.
According to sources, the security forces conducted the operation on the presence of terrorists in the mountains, who were involved in different terrorist activities.
During exchange of fire, ten terrorists were killed, while two security forces personnel also sustained injuries in the operation.
Huge quantity of arms and ammunition were also seized during the successful operation.
The security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.
Yesterday, security forces foiled the major terrorist attack when five armed militants attempted to storm the Frontier Corps (FC) headquarters shortly after a suicide blast in the city.
According to security sources, the explosion took place at 11:36 am on September 30 near the FC headquarters. Moments later, five Khawarij militants tried to enter the compound.
Security personnel responded swiftly, preventing their entry and killing all five attackers outside the wall of the facility.
Sources confirmed that heavy weapons, explosives, and ammunition were recovered from the slain terrorists.
Officials said the attempt was linked to Indian-backed proxy groups operating in Pakistan. They added that the militants were affiliated with the network known as “Fitna al-Khawarij,” which has frequently been involved in cross-border terrorism.
Security forces highlighted that in the past month alone, more than 60 militants from this group had already been eliminated in separate operations across different areas of the Zhob district.
