The Meteorological Department has forecast rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms in parts of Islamabad, Murree, Galiyat, and surrounding areas within the next one to two hours.
According to the department, a weather system is currently developing over the northern and northeastern regions of Islamabad. Under its influence, several areas are likely to experience rain, gusty winds, and thunderstorms during the same time period.
Residents have been advised to stay cautious as weather conditions may turn severe. It further stated that a weather system is forming in the northern and northeastern areas of Islamabad. Due to its influence, rain with strong winds and thunderstorms is expected in some parts of Islamabad, Murree, Galiyat, and nearby regions during the next one to two hours. The Meteorological Department has also warned the public to take precautionary measures during severe weather conditions.
Temperatures likely to rise in some areas of Sindh
On the other hand, temperature is likely to rise in some areas of Sindh and Balochistan, including Karachi. According to a weather analyst, an anticyclone circulation near the coast of the Sea of Oman is expected to affect sea breezes.
The analyst said that temperatures may increase in parts of Sindh and Balochistan, and Karachi is also expected to experience a rise in temperature from today until Tuesday.
The heat is beginning to intensify in Karachi, and the weather is expected to be extremely hot on Sunday. During this period, the maximum temperature in different areas of Karachi may rise to 37–39°C, while due to low humidity, the “feels-like” temperature could reach 38–40°C.
According to the weather analyst, this is not a heatwave. Light sea breezes are expected to resume in the evening or at night, and there is also a possibility of rainfall in Sindh and Karachi in late April or early May.
