YouTuber Rajab Butt, Karachi lawyers patch up

YouTuber Rajab Butt and Karachi lawyers have reached a reconciliation today, bringing an end to a dispute that gained public attention recently.

The lawyers who beat up Rajab Butt said that we have forgiven Rajab Butt for the sake of Allah, and that they did not wish to continue the dispute or pursue the matter any further.

Mian Ali Ashfaq Advocate, the representative of Rajab Butt, formally announced a reconciliation agreement between the parties after a long meeting with Advocate Riaz Ali Solangi and Advocate Fateh Chandio.

Background of the clash

The disagreement began in December 2025 following an incident at the Karachi City Courts. Rajab Butt arrived from London to attend a legal hearing.

During his visit, he was attacked by some lawyers. Videos circulating on social media later showed Rajab Butt being assaulted inside the court premises.

The footage quickly went viral and sparked public debate. Many social media users criticised the attack and raised concerns about safety within court premises. Following the incident, police registered a First Information Report (FIR) and began an inquiry into the matter.

Rajab Butt, later on in his online video, said that he had been mistreated and will be seeking justice through legal channels.

Meanwhile, representatives of the lawyers’ community defended their position, claiming the situation had escalated due to a misunderstanding.

“Advocate Mian Ali Ishfaq, after a long meeting with Advocate Riyadh Ali Solangi and Advocate Fatah Chandio, has formally announced the reconciliation agreement between the two parties,” shared Shahid Hussain in a post on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
