YouTuber Rajab and the other accused have gotten a big relief in the promotion of the gambling app case. Lahore District Court extended the interim bail of Rajab Butt and other accused till April 28 in the gambling app case.
Additional Session Judge Zulfiqar Ahmad Naeem heard the bail petition submitted by Rajab Butt and others in the promotion of a gambling app case. Accused YouTubers Rajab Butt, Nadeem Mubarak, and Zarq Ahmed appeared before the court.
During the hearing, the NCCIA investigation officer and prosecutor did not appear before the court. The court remarked that the investigation officer and prosecutor should ensure their presence at the next hearing.
The court extended the interim bail of Rajab Butt and other accused YouTubers, including Nadeem Mubarak and Zarq Ahmed, till April 28, 2026. The NCCIA has registered a case against Rajab Butt and other accused for promoting an online gambling app.
What is online gambling app case?
Earlier, on September 9, 2025, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) summoned Rajab Butt to join the inquiry into promoting an online gambling app. The NCCIA also registered a case against two other YouTubers, including Nadeem Mubarak and Zarq Ahmed.
What was the NCCIA notice?
The notice issued by NCCIA accused Rajab Butt of his “involvement in financial scams through online trading apps, motivating youth for investments in online gambling apps, use of social media platforms to project online gambling investments, designing an orchestrated scheme for looting innocent people’s hard-earned income on the basis of convincing them to invest in unregistered/non-licensed online apps”.
In the notice, the authority directed Rajab Butt to appear in person before an NCCIA official at the Lahore office.
“In case of non-appearance, it will be assumed that you have nothing to present or state in your defence,” the notice read.
