A case has been registered against well-known YouTuber Rajab Butt under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) over allegedly inappropriate remarks made in a video, according to media reports.
Rajab Butt appeared before a sessions court and obtained interim bail in the case, according to the reports.
The FIA court judge has directed the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) to submit the case record on November 2.
The court also ordered that Rajab Butt should not be arrested until further orders.

YouTuber Rajab Butt booked under blasphemy, PECA laws

Before this, YouTuber Rajab Butt was booked under blasphemy and cybercrime laws over the launch of his perfume brand named “295”.
The perfume sparked controversy as the name refers to a section of Pakistan’s blasphemy law.
Butt has a large following on social media and has faced several controversies in the past.
In a now-deleted video, Butt introduced his “295” perfume. He said the launch was linked to a case filed against him last year over another video that some religious groups considered blasphemous.
The perfume launch led to further criticism. A leader of the religious-political party Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) filed a first information report (FIR) against Butt at Lahore’s Nishtar Colony Police Station on Monday.
The case was registered under Section 295-A of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), which deals with insulting religious beliefs, and Section 11 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016, which covers hate speech.
According to the FIR, Butt had shared what the complainant described as anti-religious content in his videos.

Rajab Butt’s comments on actress Durefishan Saleem spark outrage

Previously, YouTuber Rajab Butt faced criticism on social media for his remarks about actress Durefishan Saleem during a podcast.
During Ahmad Ali Butt’s podcast, Rajab described Durefishan as “plump and round”. His comments drew criticism from social media users who called them inappropriate.

Reacting to the remarks, one social media user wrote that the sexualisation of women should not be treated as a joke. The user also questioned why men make such comments on public platforms.
