Reports have emerged about a targeted operation conducted by Pakistan at a secret site in Afghanistan’s Kunar region. The strike reportedly killed Shankar Sinha, a senior officer of India’s intelligence agency RAW, while injuring Noor Wali Mehsud, the head of the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Sources say a high level secretive meeting was underway during the strike, allegedly which was attended by members of the TTP, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and the Afghan Taliban and RAW as well as agents of a Middle Eastern country.
Described as an important architect of terrorist networks in Pakistan, Shankar Sinha, operated from Afghanistan for years and served as a link between the BLA and Afghan Taliban.
He also had ties with the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) and was apparently accountable for distributing Indian provided money and mettled weapons into militant groups.
The recent spate of sabotage in major Pakistani cities is thought to have been under Sinha’s guidance as direct orders from RAW’s “special desk”.
