A man identified as Faizan, son of Shan and a resident of Rawalakot, was killed in an exchange of fire with Rangers personnel at Rai Chowk, according to initial reports.
The incident reportedly took place at around 3:30pm when Faizan, who was allegedly carrying a 30-bore pistol, opened fire at Rangers personnel while crossing a checkpoint at Rai Chowk.
Rangers personnel returned fire, resulting in the man’s death.
