Police have sought the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency’s (NCCIA) cooperation in the investigation of a live-streaming pornography network that was uncovered in a raid in Rawalpindi.
An alleged ring of eleven persons, two of whom are foreigners, and several women were arrested for allegedly producing and uploading obscene content on live-streaming platforms connected to pornographic websites.
The operation was conducted by the Rawat police under the intelligence inputs about an offender in murder-related case, police said.
A raid was conducted at a house shortly after midnight, around 1:15 am. Police found an alleged live streaming setup in the premises.
According to police, the men were engaged in making and posting pornographic and obscene videos on the internet.

Authorities obtained mobile phones, laptops and other electronic devices during the raid which they suspect were used for live-streaming activities.
Police also allegedly recovered pistols and ammunition at the site.
A case has been filed in the police station under Mohammad Bilal, who has detained all 11 suspects.
Investigators believe the operation may be part of a larger operation that is in the process of being investigated and other accomplices and facilitators are being sought as a result.
Police have said the investigation is extended with the participation of the NCCIA that will look into the digital evidence and online actions related to the case.
Authorities are hoping things will get “significant” as the investigation continues.
The arrests follow the rising trend of using online platforms for illegal activities, with law enforcement agencies now emphasising discovering the size of the alleged network and its links within the country as well as internationally.
