The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has completed all administrative, logistical and monitoring arrangements for the Matric Second Annual Examination 2026, scheduled to begin on October 6.

The board has established 45 examination centres across the Rawalpindi division, with strict measures in place to prevent cheating and other forms of malpractice. According to BISE Rawalpindi Chairman Prof Dr Iqbal Mahmood, the arrangements have been made in line with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s “Visible Transparency” initiative.

Of the 45 examination centres, 16 have been designated for male candidates, 13 for female candidates and 15 as combined centres. One additional examination centre has been established at Rawalpindi Jail.

CCTV cameras have been installed in all examination halls, while real-time digital monitoring is being carried out through the board’s central Command and Control Centre. Special surveillance arrangements have also been made for sensitive and high-risk examination centres. The chairman directed supervisory staff to ensure impartiality and provide candidates with a secure and conducive environment throughout the examinations.

He warned that strict legal action would be taken against any individual or group found attempting to compromise the integrity of the examination process.

BISE Rawalpindi spokesman Arslan Ali Cheema said special mobile inspection teams had also been deployed to conduct daily surprise visits. The teams will monitor staff compliance, prevent the use of unauthorised materials and ensure that students’ merit is protected.
