Rawalpindi traffic police resolves 538 complaints filed by citizens immediately

The City Traffic Police (CTP) of Rawalpindi has been actively involved in serving the public by addressing the majority of traffic-related complaints from citizens in a timely manner.

As reported by a spokesperson for the CTP, the traffic police received a total of 583 complaints through various channels in the previous month, with 538 of these being resolved quickly, while investigations into 45 complaints are still ongoing.

As a result, 89.67% of those who lodged complaints reported satisfaction with the swift resolution of their concerns.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) of Rawalpindi, Farhan Aslam, is also conducting daily public hearings to directly address citizens’ complaints about traffic issues and provide immediate assistance.

During the event, CTO Farhan Aslam stated that it is the primary responsibility of the department to resolve public challenges.

He further stated that the complaint cell process is not complete until the complainant is entirely satisfied.

Additionally, he highlighted that the timely resolution of complaints contributes to fostering a positive perception of the police among the public.

The public is also encouraged to reach out to the traffic helpline at 051-9274843 for any traffic-related complaints or assistance.

Govt closes GT Road for HTVs entering Islamabad

Earlier, the Federal government closed the Grand Trunk (GT) road for Heavy Travelling Vehicles (HTV) from entering Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

The closure of the GT road will be in force from May 9, at 12:00am till May 10, 12:00am.

According to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, no heavy vehicle will be allowed to enter Punjab from the Attock bridge.
