RDA begins construction and rehabilitation of slip road at Faizabad Interchange

Following the directives of Commissioner Rawalpindi and Director General of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Engineer Aamir Khattak, the RDA Engineering Directorate has commenced the construction and rehabilitation of a slip road, along with the installation of informational signboards at Faizabad Interchange, Rawalpindi.

The estimated budget for this project is Rs 15.490 million.

The project was inaugurated by the Chairman of the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team, Punjab, and Member of the Provincial Assembly, Raja Hanif.

Relevant officials and staff were also in attendance during the inauguration.

This initiative involves the repair and rehabilitation of the slip road, as well as the installation of informational signboards at key locations to enhance guidance for commuters and improve the traffic management system.

RDA project to improve traffic flow

According to officials from the RDA, the successful completion of this project is expected to improve the flow of traffic around Faizabad Interchange and provide better travel facilities for the citizens.

Additionally, they noted that the RDA is actively engaged in various development projects aimed at enhancing urban infrastructure and ensuring better civic amenities for the residents of Rawalpindi.

This project exemplifies the Authority’s dedication to enhancing road infrastructure and traffic management within the city.

Upon its completion, the slip road and the newly installed informational signboards will contribute to reducing congestion and facilitating smoother vehicle movement at the heavily trafficked Faizabad Interchange.

Rawalpindi on high alert amid security concerns

Earlier, due to possible security threats throughout the city, law enforcement and various security agencies were placed on high alert, and directives had been issued to guarantee stringent security measures from the 19th to the 21st of the holy month of Ramadan.

Following the orders of Rawalpindi City Police Officer (CPO) Khalid Hamdani, SSP Operations Malik Tariq Mehmood released an official communication concerning this issue.

This communication has been distributed to all divisional SPs, the SP Security, circle officers, and the leaders of police stations.
