Receive 2200 from KP governmnet

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Sohail Afridi has announced Rs 2200 for every individual in the province whose motorcycles are registered.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced financial relief for motorcyclists following the recent increase in petrol prices. Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has decided to provide Rs2,200 to motorcycle owners in the province to reduce the burden of rising fuel costs.

Afridi said that the relief amount will be given in two instalments to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He added that around 1.5 million registered motorcycles exist in the province, and their owners will benefit from this initiative.

The announcement comes after petrol prices were increased by Rs55 per litre, which has raised transportation expenses for ordinary citizens. The provincial government stated that it will bear the financial impact of the Rs55 increase for motorcycle users through this support package.

CM Sohail Afridi directed the concerned authorities to finalise the mechanism for distributing the money so that eligible motorcycle owners can receive the relief as soon as possible.

The government believes that motorcycles are the most common and affordable mode of transport for many families in the province. Officials said the decision aims to provide immediate relief to low- and middle-income citizens who depend on motorcycles for daily travel, work, and small businesses.
