Rawalpindi: Rescue 1122 finalises emergency plan for Eid ul Fitr 2026

Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi has finalised a comprehensive emergency response strategy to ensure public safety during Juma-tul-Wida, Chand Raat, and Eid ul Fitr 2026.

The plan aims to provide immediate assistance and manage any unforeseen incidents during the festive period.

As stated by a spokesperson for Rescue 1122, additional personnel and resources will be allocated to sensitive and critical areas as part of the plan, which includes major mosques, Eidgahs, parks, shopping centers, and bustling markets where large gatherings are expected.

The spokesperson indicated that ambulances, fire rescue vehicles, and trained motorbike rescuers will be strategically stationed at various sites to ensure a swift response in the event of an emergency.

He mentioned that the central control room has been placed on high alert with continuous monitoring, while the duties of rescue officers and personnel have been organised in shifts to guarantee uninterrupted services and prevent delays.

Special rescue points for Chand Raat and Eid ul Fitr 2026

In order to monitor the surge in activity during Chand Raat and the three days of Eid ul Fitr, dedicated rescue points have been established.

These points will be staffed with extra medical personnel and ambulances to provide aid in overcrowded areas.

Rescue 1122 issues public safety advisory

Rescue 1122 has further urged citizens to stay vigilant and follow these safety guidelines:

  1. Child Safety: Keep a close watch on children in crowded markets and parks.
  2. Prohibited Activities: Avoid the use of fireworks and other hazardous celebrations.
  3. Emergency Contact: In case of any accident or emergency, dial 1122 immediately for professional assistance.

Government to issue salaries before Eid ul Fitr

Earlier, the government announced that federal employees will be paid their salaries prior to Eid ul Fitr.

According to reports, this decision was made after the specific directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to assist employees in advance of the Eid holidays.

In accordance with this directive, salaries are set to be distributed before the Eid ul Fitr holiday.

Relevant federal government departments have also received instructions, and measures are being implemented to guarantee the swift payment of salaries ahead of Eid.
