Web desk: All roads in Islamabad are now clear for traffic, after the containers were removed from the Rawalpindi Faizabad flyover.

The traffic has been restored on both sides after the removal of containers on the bridge leading to the expressway from Faizabad.

Yes, the roads are now open according to official sources, and the traffic between Islamabad and Rawalpindi has been fully restored after the removal of containers from the Faizabad flyover.

The bridge leading to the Expressway from Faizabad, along with adjoining highways, was reopened under the supervision of the traffic police, allowing the smooth flow of vehicles on both sides.

According to the administration, all roads in the area have been cleared, and normal traffic movement has resumed.

Citizens, who had faced significant inconvenience for several days due to the closures, expressed relief as queues of vehicles disappeared and regular travel was restored across the twin cities.

The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) announced on Tuesday that all major roads in the federal capital have been fully reopened, bringing an end to the diversions and partial closures that had disrupted traffic in recent days.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Hamzah Humayun confirmed that routes, including the Red Zone entry points, Srinagar Highway, Islamabad Expressway, Jinnah Avenue, Margalla Road, and Faisal Avenue, are now clear for traffic.

He said ITP teams worked tirelessly throughout the day to restore smooth movement across the city.

“All corridors are now open, but motorists should proceed with patience to avoid unnecessary congestion,” the CTO said, urging citizens to maintain discipline on the roads.

He added that the ITP remains on duty round the clock to facilitate the public through real-time traffic advisories on FM 92.4 and official digital platforms.

Meanwhile, traffic between Islamabad and Rawalpindi has also returned to normal after the removal of containers from the Faizabad flyover and adjoining highways.

The operation, supervised by traffic police and local administration, restored vehicle movement on both sides of the expressway.

Officials confirmed that all connecting roads between the twin cities are now open, with normal traffic flow restored on the Faizabad flyover and adjacent routes.
