How to Get Rs10,000 from Govt for Using Solar Appliances

Web desk: The Punjab government has introduced a new incentive scheme offering Rs10,000 in “green credit” to citizens who use solar-powered appliances, as part of efforts to promote energy conservation and environmental protection.

The province’s Environment Department has encouraged the public to adopt energy-saving and environmentally-friendly habits through a social media post.

Under the program, citizens using solar-connected appliances such as solar stoves, solar geysers, or energy-efficient fans are eligible to receive a green credit.

Each green credit is valued at ten thousand rupees, allowing participants to receive a direct financial benefit while contributing to energy conservation and environmental protection.

The Environment Department emphasised that the primary goals of the initiative are to save energy, improve environmental conditions, and promote the use of solar appliances across the province.

How To Participate

Citizens are being urged to participate in the program to adopt eco-friendly and energy-efficient practices.

Participants must register on the official portal greencredit.punjab.gov.pk. And upload proof (photos/receipts) for verification. The Environment Department handles this process and provides information.

To facilitate participation, the department has provided helpline numbers. Where people can obtain detailed information about the process and eligibility requirements for receiving a green credit.

This approach aims to ensure transparency and make it easy for citizens to access the benefits of the program.

By using solar appliances, citizens can reduce their electricity consumption, take eco-friendly steps, and simultaneously receive government financial support.

In addition, recent reductions in the prices of solar systems are expected to benefit consumers further. Making it easier for more households to adopt solar energy solutions.
