A picture of the legendary singer sitting in a wheelchair, surrounded by what appeared to be medical staff, recently went viral on social media, sparking concern among fans across the globe.
Many fans expressed worry and offered prayers for her recovery.
However, the clarification from her official Instagram account stated that the photo was three months old and taken during a routine medical check-up.
The statement termed the social media rumours baseless, confirming that Abida Parveen is in good health, Alhamdulillah.
Her team also urged the public to avoid spreading unverified news and rely only on authentic sources for updates about the singer.
