After the Iran-Israel war, there is a chance of a fuel crisis worldwide. Earlier, the government of Pakistan announced a Rs 55 rise in petrol and diesel prices. The situation is created due to the tensions in the Strait of Hormuz. However, there is some big news for Pakistanis regarding crude oil.
According to the foreign media, Russia will supply crude oil to Pakistan. At the same time, the Russian media confirmed, while quoting global energy expert Dr Mamooda Salameh, more than 733,000 barrels of Russian crude oil will arrive at Port Qasim in the coming days.
Pakistan’s reliance on oil is traditionally on Saudi Arabia and the UAE. However, Pakistan has previously purchased oil from Russia. The energy experts confirmed that the import of Russian crude oil will help reduce the energy crisis in the country.
Petrol and Diesel prices in Pakistan
Earlier, the Petroleum Minister Ali Parvaiz Malik, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar in a joint press conference increased the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 55 per litre.
After the increase of Rs 55 per litre, the new petrol price is Rs 321 per litre, and the diesel price is Rs 335.
However, the experts confirmed that the Russian crude oil will help to reduce this energy crisis in Pakistan.
Trump permitted India to buy crude oil from Russia
At the same time, the US President Donald Trump allowed India to buy Russian crude oil for 30 days. However, several progressive individuals, including political leaders, activists and journalists, criticised India and the Modi government, saying that India can’t even have the freedom to buy Russian crude oil independently.
However, India will buy Russian crude oil from Russia for the next 30 days.
