Web desk: The famous Pakistani actress Saba Qamar has come under heavy criticism on social media following her negative remarks about Karachi.
During a recent appearance on a private TV podcast, Qamar expressed her reluctance to live in Karachi.
When asked if she would consider moving to the city for work, she replied, “Astaghfirullah, never.”
She further explained, “Well, you never know what happens in the future, but I only go to Karachi for work. I finish my projects and return. I like Lahore and Islamabad. If someone gives me a house in Karachi, that’s fine – although I’ve already built one there.”
At one point during the podcast, she was also heard saying in a low voice, “I don’t like Karachi.”
Additionally, Saba Qamar suggested that all ongoing projects being filmed in Karachi should be shifted to Islamabad.

During the podcast, in response to the host’s question, “Are you ready to move to Karachi for work?”, Saba Qamar shared her unease about the city.
She said, “Astaghfirullah, never, but I shouldn’t say this; you never know what the future holds for me. But yes, it’s been years since I moved to Karachi. I just go there, do my work, and come back. I like Islamabad and Lahore. I wouldn’t mind moving to Karachi if someone buys me a house there, although I’ve already built one for myself.”
She added that she prefers Islamabad or Lahore, possibly because she enjoys living in houses rather than apartments. She was also heard whispering, “I don’t like Karachi.”
At another point during the podcast, Saba stated, “Shift all the projects being shot in Karachi to Islamabad.”
