Actress Saba Qamar has revealed that she fell in love with a fellow film co-star two to four years ago, but he is now married.
Speaking at a charity event in London, the actress said, “I fell in love with him, or maybe I fell in love with his character in the film.” She later revealed that her niece helped her see things clearly.
Her most recent films include Kamli (2022), directed by Sarmad Khoosat, and Ghabrana Nahi Hai (2022). She has also starred in Lahore Se Aagey (2016) and Hindi Medium (2017), which is a Bollywood movie alongside late actor Irrfan Khan.
During the event, the actress also surprised her fans by announcing that she will reprise her role as Jiji in the drama Muamma Part 2.
The drama was a massive hit because of its refreshing, unconventional storyline and Saba Qamar’s magnetic, complex portrayal of the mysterious lead character, Jahan Ara (Jiji).
In 2021, Saba Qamar called off her engagement to entrepreneur Azeem Khan, citing personal reasons. “I also want to clear one important thing, I have never met Azeem Khan in my life. We were only connected over the phone.” Qamar added that she was going through a very difficult time right now, but “this too shall pass.”
Last year, the 42-year-old actress suffered a heart attack triggered by extreme mental stress. She disclosed that her condition suddenly worsened during a shoot, and she was rushed to hospital, where doctors confirmed she had suffered a heart attack.
At the time, Saba was filming for the drama ‘Case No. 9‘.
