Samsung is preparing to launch its new Galaxy A57 5G smartphone in Pakistan and other global markets in the coming weeks, with growing interest around what the device will offer and how it will differ from earlier Galaxy A50 series models.
Although the Galaxy A lineup is considered mid range internationally, it continues to sit in a higher price bracket in Pakistan. The current Galaxy A56 5G still sells for around Rs150,000 locally, and early expectations suggest the A57 could cost even more in the Pakistani smartphone market.
The Galaxy A57 5G is expected to enter a highly competitive space, going head to head with Google’s upcoming Pixel 10a from February 2026. Both phones are aimed at buyers who want near flagship features but are not willing to pay premium flagship prices. This category has become one of the most contested segments of the smartphone market.
Details about the Galaxy A57 began circulating after the device appeared in China’s TENAA certification database. According to these listings, the phone will feature a 6.6 inch Full HD Plus display, with a slim body measuring just 6.9mm thick. It is expected to weigh around 182 grams, making it lighter and sleeker than many previous A series models.
Battery life remains a strong focus. The Galaxy A57 is said to pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging, a noticeable upgrade that brings it closer to Samsung’s premium devices. This improvement is likely to appeal to users who rely heavily on their phones throughout the day.
On the camera front, Samsung appears to be sticking with a triple camera setup. Leaks suggest a 50 megapixel main camera, supported by a 12 or 13 megapixel ultra wide lens and a 5 megapixel macro camera. A 12 megapixel front camera is expected to handle selfies and video calls. Camera quality continues to be a key selling point, especially as Google’s Pixel A series is known for strong photo processing.
The Galaxy A57 is also expected to ship with 256GB of internal storage as standard, paired with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM. This move reflects growing demand for more storage, especially as apps, photos and videos continue to take up more space.
Powering the device will be Samsung’s new Exynos 1680 chipset, an octa core processor reportedly capable of speeds up to 2.9GHz. Security features are expected to include an in display fingerprint sensor and face unlock.
While Google’s Pixel 10a is also expected around the same time, its full specifications are yet to surface. Pricing will play a crucial role, particularly in markets like Pakistan where mid range phones often stretch household budgets.
