An issue between Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Muhammad Saqib Khan Chadher and actress Momina Iqbal’s sister has now reached the police station.
The lawmaker has submitted a written complaint at Bhawana Police Station in Chiniot, seeking registration of a case against the actress’s sister, Ramsha Iqbal.
In his application, Saqib Chadher stated that Ramsha Iqbal needed a strong bank statement for a visa application to travel to Australia.
He alleged that, to help her, he deposited large sums of money into her account on trust.
According to the complaint, a total of Rs 8 million was involved in the transactions.
He said Rs 3.9 million was transferred online from a United Bank Limited account to Ramsha Iqbal’s Bank Alfalah account.
He further claimed that Rs 4.1 million in cash was handed over at different times in the presence of witnesses.
Police in Bhawana confirmed receiving the complaint from the MPA.
Officials said the application has been made part of the record and an investigation has started. Bank account details of both parties are also being checked as part of legal procedure.
