RIYADH: Saudi Minister of Defence Prince Khalid bin Salman has awarded the King Abdulaziz Medal to Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir.
The ceremony took place during a formal visit, following the directions of the Custodian of the Haramain Shareef.
The honour was given to the Field Marshal in recognition of his outstanding leadership and distinguished service to the military.
Furthermore, the medal was awarded to him in recognition of his significant role in strengthening the cooperation. And a defence partnership between the two brotherly nations.
PAK-Saudi Relation
This high-level award reflects the deep, historical and strategic relations that exist between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan today.
Both leaders were of the view that they should cooperate closely with each other to achieve regional stability and fulfil common interests.
Meanwhile, officials noted that such exchanges reinforce the commitment to mutual prosperity and future growth within the Middle East.
The ceremony concluded with a reaffirmation of the long-term brotherhood between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan for many decades now.
At the end, the delegation discussed further ways to enhance military training and technical collaboration to meet modern security challenges effectively.
