The Ramzan’s moon was sighted in Pakistan, a private media channel confirmed on Wednesday. Following the moon sighting, Pakistanis are ready to welcome Ramazan and are preparing things accordingly. At the same time, school timings have also been changed.
The Sindh government has revised the school timings for the holy month of Ramazan. The new school timings will be applied to the schools of the entire province.
According to the notification issued by the Sindh government, single-shift schools will operate from 8 am to 12:30 pm, and the timing on Friday will be from 8 am to 11:30 am.
On the other hand, double-shift school will operate in the morning shift from 7 am to 11:30 am and in the second shift, the school will remain open from 11:45 am to 2:45 pm.
However, the Sindh government confirmed that these timings will apply to public and private schools.
Federal government revised office hours
The federal government has also announced revised office hours as per the released notification by the government; the office timings will be from 9 am to 3 pm. According to the federal government, the offices with six working days will remain open from 9 am to 2 pm.
On Friday, all federal offices will remain open from 9 am to 12:30 pm.
Earlier, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announced that the Ramazan Moon has been sighted, confirming that Ramazan will begin from the 19th of January (tomorrow). Similarly, other zonal committees also received testimonies and scrutinised moon sighting reports.
SUPARCO had already forecast that the Ramadan 1447 Hijri crescent would be visible on February 18, making February 19 the first day of fasting.
All the citizens are happy for the holy month and are preparing for it.
