ISLAMABAD: Private and Public schools in Punjab, Islamabad and other affected areas will remain closed tomorrow due to security concerns.
In view of security concerns in Punjab, Islamabad and the affected regions, it has been decided to keep all private and public schools closed tomorrow, Saturday.
According to All Pakistan Private Schools Federation President Kashif Mirza, this decision has been taken to ensure the safety of students, parents, teachers and school staff.
He said that security measures have become inevitable due to the current situation.Similarly Punjab Education Board has also announced closures of all public schools in Lahore, Gujranwala and other affected areas.
On Friday several schools in Rawalpindi and Islamabad remained closed due to the security situation arising out of protest call by a religious parties.
In Lahore, all public and private schools were shut ahead of scheduled time due to the prevailing security situation.
In Islamabad, school attendance also remained significantly lower than usual, with many students unable to reach educational institutions.
The roads and cellular services remain closed throughout the day causing much inconvenience to the public.
On the other hand, the Punjab Public Service Commission has also postponed the SDO Para exams due to the imposition of Section 144. The exams were scheduled for October 11 and 12 in various cities of the province including Lahore.
According to PPSC spokesperson Kazim Muqaddas, the new dates for the exams will be announced later.
