Kohlu: On December 25, 2025, security forces carried out an intelligence-driven operation in Kohlu District, targeting a group of militants reportedly linked to the Indian-backed organisation Fitna al Hindustan.
Five Terrorists Neutralised
During the operation, troops engaged the militants in a fierce exchange of fire, resulting in the deaths of five suspected terrorists. Authorities recovered a cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the site. Officials said the militants had been involved in multiple acts of violence and terrorist activity across the region.
Ongoing Counterterrorism Measures
Following the operation, security agencies launched further clearance operations to identify and neutralise any remaining threats in the area. Officials emphasised that Pakistan’s counterterrorism efforts under the federal “Azm-e-Istehkam” initiative, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue with full intensity to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
