Security forces kill 49 terrorists in major joint counterterrorism operations: ISPR

Security forces, in coordination with police, have killed 49 terrorists in a series of high-tempo, intelligence-based joint operations conducted over the past few days, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The operations were carried out as part of an ongoing counterterrorism campaign aimed at dismantling terrorist networks and preventing attacks that could undermine peace and stability in the country.

According to ISPR, the operations targeted what it described as “Fitna Al Khwarij” and “Fitna Al Hindustan” networks, as well as their alleged Indian proxies. The security forces said the operations dealt significant blows to the terrorist networks and successfully thwarted attempts to disrupt peace and stability.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, twelve khwarij belonging to Indian sponsored Fitna Al Khwarij were sent to hell in multiple high-tempo intelligence-based operations in Bannu, North Waziristan, Orakzai and Khyber Districts. During these operations, a large quantity of explosives, IED detonating remotes, weapons, ammunition and motorcycles were recovered and destroyed.

In Balochistan, thirty-seven terrorists belonging to Indian Sponsored Fitna Al Hindustan were effectively neutralised in ten intelligence-based operations in Mastung, Mach, Khuzdar and Panjgur Districts. A significant quantity of weapons, explosive drums and remote detonation equipment were seized and destroyed.

The Security Forces of Pakistan remain resolute and unwavering in their commitment to defend the nation’s frontiers. Sanitisation operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored Kharji/ terrorist found in the area, as a relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under the vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by the Security Forces. Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
