Pakistan’s top all-rounder joins Desert Vipers for Global Super League

Pakistani all-rounder Shadab Khan has been named in the Desert Vipers squad for the third edition of the Global Super League, scheduled to run from July 23 to August 1.

The franchise has assembled a strong international lineup, featuring New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell and USA batter Andres Goss as key top-order options.

The Desert Vipers will be captained by Chris Green, with Shadab Khan also joining the squad by Khuzaymah bin Tanvir.

The squad reflects a diverse mix of international talent as teams finalise preparations for the upcoming tournament window.

The all-rounder has previously participated in several franchise leagues around the world, including the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Lanka Premier League (LPL), International League T20 (ILT20), The Hundred, Major League Cricket (MLC), Big Bash League (BBL), and the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

Shadab Khan is one of Islamabad United’s most successful captains, having played a key role in helping the team win the Pakistan Super League (PSL) title in its ninth edition. He has recorded 40 victories in 69 matches as captain, with a win rate of 57.97%.

Shadab Khan is also one of the most influential all-rounders in PSL history. He has scored 1,486 runs in 98 matches at a strike rate of 142.20, including nine half-centuries, and has taken 112 wickets, making him the third-highest wicket-taker in the tournament.
