According to police, the main accused, Rida Jadoon, allegedly arranged the murder of Dr Warda for Rs10 million.

Rida Jadoon is reportedly a close friend of the victim, Dr Warda.

Police have seized both vehicles used in Dr Warda’s kidnapping and subsequent murder as part of the ongoing investigation.

Further inquiries also revealed that Dr Warda’s valuable jewellery had been deposited in a bank. And that a loan of approximately Rs 5 million was also obtained against it.

Dr Warda case: post-mortem report

The post-mortem report was released yesterday.

It stated that Dr Warda died from suffocation, while her neck was also broken. This indicates that she was subjected to severe torture.

Police officials claim the murder was motivated by the seizure of gold worth approximately Rs3 crore.

The victim’s family, particularly her brother-in-law, has accused police of negligence. Asserting that the suspicious behaviour of the accused prior to Dr Warda’s murder was ignored.
