Sidhu Moose Wala is alive, claims Instagram user

Sidhu Moose Wala alive

Rumours claiming that Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala is alive have once again begun circulating on social media, drawing strong reactions from fans and critics alike.

The latest wave of speculation appears to have been triggered by short videos and reels on Instagram and other platforms. These posts question how Sidhu Moose Wala, whose real name was Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, could have died if his music continues to be released. Many of the posts dismiss the widely reported explanation that the songs were recorded before his death.

One video, shared by Instagram user Defalt.xd, has gained particular attention. In the clip, Canadian rapper AR Paisley is seen performing alongside rising Indian hip-hop artist Big Boi Deep, whose real name is Pardeep Kumar. The user claims that a man sitting in the background of the video is Sidhu Moose Wala himself.

The claim is backed with a detail that has caught the attention of many viewers. The man in the background appears to be holding an iPhone 17 Pro Max, a model that was launched only months ago. The user argues that this proves the video cannot be old. The post also suggests that people who previously claimed Sidhu Moose Wala was alive later disappeared, adding a further layer of mystery to the narrative.

The comments section under the video reflects a sharp divide. Some users say they believe the claim and express hope that the singer is still alive. Others dismiss it outright, saying the man is simply a lookalike. Several users point out that Sidhu Moose Wala had reportedly recorded hundreds of songs before his death, explaining why new music continues to surface.

Messages such as “hope he is alive” and “maybe a miracle will happen” sit alongside more sceptical responses urging people not to spread false information.

Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead on May 29, 2022, near his village in Punjab’s Mansa district. On that evening, he was driving his black Mahindra Thar when two vehicles began following him. CCTV footage later showed the cars tailing him closely through narrow roads before blocking his vehicle against a wall. He was shot multiple times in broad daylight.

Videos recorded by bystanders showed the aftermath. His vehicle was riddled with bullets, and locals could be heard urging others to help him. He was declared dead on arrival at hospital. A post-mortem report later confirmed he had been hit by 24 bullets. He was 28 years old.

Goldy Brar was named as the prime accused in the murder and publicly claimed responsibility. He had left India in 2017 on a student visa to Canada and is believed to be living in the United States. Punjab Police later arrested his parents, Shamsher Singh and Preetpal Kaur, in connection with an extortion case registered in Muktsar district last year.

Police officials have said the arrests followed investigative leads linked to the case. Shamsher Singh, a former assistant sub-inspector, was compulsorily retired in 2021 after allegations surfaced regarding his involvement in a separate murder case.

This is not the first time claims about Sidhu Moose Wala being alive have surfaced online. Similar rumours have appeared in the past, often gaining traction for a short period before fading away. Many observers believe the latest claims are another attempt to attract views and engagement rather than evidence of anything new.

Despite repeated clarifications over the years, the singer’s enduring popularity continues to fuel speculation, showing how deeply his legacy still resonates with fans.
