The Sindh Higher Education Commission has opened research grants of up to Rs5 million (50 lac).
Under the Sindh Research Support Programme (SRSP), faculty members from public sector universities and degree-awarding institutes across Sindh can apply. The grant will be provided for two years, and the deadline for applications is October 23, 2026.
Who is eligible for research grants by Sindh HEC?
Full-time regular faculty members holding PhD, FCPS, MCPS or FRCS qualifications are eligible to apply.
Each applicant can submit only one SRSP project as a Principal Investigator (PI).
Faculty members who received this opportunity or award during the previous two years are not eligible to apply for the current programme.
Researchers from Natural and Physical Sciences, Medical and Allied Sciences, Engineering and Technology, IT and Computer Science, Social Sciences, Management Sciences, Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences, Urban Planning, Environmental Sciences, and Life Sciences can apply.

According to HEC, Preference will be given to collaborative research proposals related to issues of provincial importance such as: Climate Change, Food Security, Water Management, Sustainable Energy & Economy, Public Health, AI, Digital Transformation, Emerging Technologies, and Educational Reforms with commercialisation potential and alignment with SDGs.
