The Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) has announced a six hour power outage in several areas on March 15, 2026, for maintenance work, according to reports on Sunday.
According to a HESCO spokesperson, electricity supply will remain suspended from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM on 14 feeders of the 11kV network connected to three grid stations.
The shutdown will allow technical teams to install new poles, set up high transmission wires, and carry out sagging work.

Eid ul Fitr 2026 weather
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted rain in Karachi on Eid ul Fitr 2026. It is expected to provide relief from the ongoing heat wave.
The weather is partly cloudy, and high humidity is making it feel warmer. Strong sunlight during the day is also increasing the heat.
The Meteorological Department says a new western weather system will affect the country in the coming days.
This system is expected to bring intermittent rain to Karachi on Eid, helping break the heat wave.
Rains are also expected in various districts of Sindh from March 17 to March 27.
Meteorologists say the effects of the system will make the weather pleasant in most parts of the country, including Karachi.
As Eid ul Fitr nears, cold weather is expected in parts of Pakistan, with forecasts predicting rain, hail, and snowfall in several regions.
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said rain and snowfall are likely to continue in northern areas until March 16.
