Web desk: Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari unveiled the new dialysis and lithotripsy Centre of SIUT Trust Hospital in Karachi on Wednesday.
While addressing the ceremony, he said that such projects are strengthening the entire health system in Sindh. It is the core responsibility of the government to provide modernised and free healthcare facilities to the public, he stated.

He added that 100 per cent free treatment is provided at SIUT. And that this is the outcome of the progressive and collaborative work of the provincial government and Dr Adil Rizvi’s team.
According to him, the Sindh government’s teamwork with the hospital has reached Rs. 22 billion, while preparations are being made to establish SIUT centres in Gujar Khan, Rahim Yar Khan and other locales.
The PPP Chairman noted that this building, established in Karachi’s Taj Centre, has become a major landmark of the city, and soon a similar state-of-the-art building will be built in Larkana.
He said that health facilities are being expanded in collaboration with Indus Hospital in the communities of Badin.
According to Bilawal Bhutto, a world-class network of free NICVD heart treatment has been provided all over Sindh. While top-quality medical facilities are also offered in the government sector in Karachi and Gambat.
He mentioned that after the 18th Amendment, the province created a free and one of the country’s largest networks of healthcare treatment.
He asked the four provinces, including the federation, to come up with a coordinated policy regarding population planning so that joint work can be done in this important sector.
Bilawal Bhutto emphasised that progressive health projects were launched by Sindh. And no other province could present projects of this excellence.
