Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has provided the list of six lawyers to Adiala jail officials to meet PTI founder Imran Khan, a private media channel reported on Tuesday (today).
In the provided list, the names of Barrister Gohar Khan, Salman Akram Raja, Ali Zaman, Naeem Haider Panjotha, Chaudhry Owais Younas, and Shamsha Kayani are included. PTI leader and lawyer Salam Akram Raja sent the list of lawyers to Adiala jail authorities.
The legal team of Imran Khan will visit Adial jail today to meet Imran Khan.
Earlier, several PTI leaders requested jail authorities to allow them to meet the PTI founder, but jail authorities didn’t allow anyone to meet Khan.
Why won’t Barrister Gohar meet Imran Khan alone?
Earlier, the senior journalist Rauf Klasra revealed that PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar avoided meeting Imran Khan alone in jail. He further said that there are multiple reasons behind this situation. Klasra confirmed that the current PTI leadership don’t trust Barrister Gohar and it could be the major reason Barrister Gohar avoided meeting Khan in jail.
He explained more that Barrister Gohar is a decent personality and doesn’t believe in political violence, and that’s the reason, PTI’s current leadership don’t like him.
No political discussion with PM Shehbaz
On the other hand, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday. Sohail Afridi said that they didn’t discuss politics, but the current security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). Sohail Afridi confirmed while speaking to journalists that he didn’t ask PM Shehbaz to allow PTI leaders to meet Imran Khan in jail. The PTI leader and Chief Minister of KP, Sohail Afridi, also condemned the terror attacks in Balochistan. He said that “terrorists have no province, no country and no religion.”
Earlier, Pakistan’s armed forces eliminated almost 200 terrorists, following the attacks in Baluchistan by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).
