Several Snapchat users reported losing all their messages and friends after deleting and reinstalling the app during the Amazon Web Services (AWS) outage, according to NationalWorld.
More than 22,000 Snapchat users reported outages on Monday morning as a major Amazon Web Services (AWS) disruption affected hundreds of websites and apps.
According to Downdetector, reports of problems peaked at 22,295 just before 9 am.
Users said they were unable to log in, send, or load messages, and in some cases, were locked out of their accounts.
Those repeatedly trying to access their profiles received an alert saying: “Due to repeated failed attempts or other unusual activity, your access to Snapchat is temporarily disabled. Please try again.”
The AWS outage also disrupted several popular services, including Ring, Coinbase, Roblox, and Fortnite.
Meanwhile, many Snapchat users took to X to report that they had lost all messages and friends after deleting and reinstalling the app during the outage.
How to Restore Your Streaks
If your streak is gone, it can be restored. The easiest way to do so is by looking for a restore button. The button ususally appears next to the chat. Finding the button is the only way to see the button.

Several users across the country reported of errors and that they are unable to access the main site and links associated with the service.
Shortly after complaining about Canva, users also pointed out issues in Snapchat. However, Snapchat is not the only service to be disrupted this morning.
Other apps abouth which problems were reported are Roblox, Amazon, Clash of Kings, Ring doorbell, and more.
