Several social media platforms down, users unable to access platforms

Many users have reported that they are unable to access the famous social media app X, formerly known as Twitter. No reason for the outage has come forward yet.

It has also been reported that several WhatsApp users are also facing problems with the platform.

The platform X has made a habit of going down. In January 2026, the platform went down twice.

At that time, according to Downdetector (an internet monitoring site) reported that over 41,000 issues were reported in the United States by 10:35 am ET.

Reuters also reported that 8,000 problems were reported in the UK, and in India 2,400 reports were seen.

Another internet tracking website, NetBlocks, posted on X that this outage was international and not linked to any country-level internet restrictions or filtering.

Problems reportedly began to spike around 8 pm local time, according to Downdetector.

Which said the increase in user complaints suggested “possible problems” with the platform.

Cloudflare updated at 9:21 PM, noting an issue with Magic Network Monitoring Data.

It said that users might see empty or blank data on dashboards. Additionally, they confirmed that it was working to resolve the problem.

However, the case currently is a little different. Multiple social media platform users have reported not being able to access these plaotforms.

This might be due to a broader issue that is affecting multiple sites throughout the world.
