Sohail Afridi backs PM Shehbaz against foreign threats

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said that Shehbaz Sharif is our Prime Minister and we are united and ready to respond to any foreign aggression.

He made these remarks while addressing a press conference in Islamabad along with other PTI leaders.

Sohail Afridi praises PM Shehbaz

Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi stated that he would like to tell President Trump that Shehbaz Sharif is Pakistan’s prime minister. He added that Israel and the US do not want Pakistan to prosper and alleged that no Jewish state would want an Islamic nuclear power to advance.

Sohail Afridi on PTI founder Imran Khan

Afridi also said only the public can disqualify PTI founder Imran Khan and vowed that his party would achieve “real freedom” with public support. Criticising the federal government, he accused it of treating Khyber Pakhtunkhwa unfairly, comparing its approach to that of a “stepmother.”

Afridi alleges secretive decision-making and political pressure

Sohail Khan Afridi said a planned meeting on financial matters, including the National Finance Commission (NFC), was cancelled without explanation. He alleged that key decisions affecting the country are being made behind closed doors without transparency, warning that these choices would impact all of Pakistan, not just one institution or family.

Afridi also claimed that PTI and its leadership, including the party’s founder and family members, are facing unprecedented political pressure. He accused the federal government in Islamabad of sidelining the KP government and excluding it from important consultations, especially regarding the ongoing energy crisis.

Afridi highlights Pakistan’s economic challenges

Afridi drew attention to broader economic concerns, saying Pakistan’s trade deficit has surpassed $20 billion, agricultural growth is slowing, and many young people are looking for opportunities abroad.
