An early spring break has been announced for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) educational institutions.
The break will be limited and will start from March 24th for all public and private educational institutions. Due to Eid holidays coming before this spring break, the students will get to enjoy a long week off.
The board and university exams will continue and take place as per the schedule.
The development came following the announcement of a plan by the provincial government for fuel conservation.
A weekly work-from-home policy has also been implemented.
All government offices in KP will observe 100 percent work-from-home on Fridays for a period of two months or until the situation improves.

Recently, it has been reported that the government is planning a new holiday schedule for schools all across the country.
The government has proposed a new plan for summer and winter vacations.
Officials say discussions are still ongoing, and no final decision has been reached.
The proposed schedule includes 76 days of summer holidays and 17 days of winter vacations for educational institutions.
Two-month salary cut for senior govt officials
Earlier, the government said that due to the current economic conditions and the need for careful use of resources, it is necessary to reduce government spending and limit energy consumption in public institutions.
As part of these measures, the government decided to cut the salaries of senior management in government and semi-government institutions for two months.
The salary cut will affect officials holding senior positions such as chief executive officers, executive directors, directors, and senior administrators.
