Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has announced the postponement of SSC 1st Annual Examinations 2026 at its overseas centers at Iran, Kuwait, UAE and Bahrain due to changing security situation and regional uncertainty.

The decision was communicated in an official letter issued by Controller Test Administration Fatima Tahira, which was a continuation of an earlier communication from FBISE on March 18, 2026.
Examinations in all other FBISE overseas centres, however, are to proceed according to the schedule announced earlier. Roll Number Slips of institutions of the 4 countries affected have been kept back until further notice.
The board has said that it will help the candidates of postponed centres who want to appear for the examination in Pakistan or any neighbouring country where exams are continuing as per the schedule.

The board also addressed the possible logistical problems in the examination centres abroad, and said any deficiency in arrangements would be met through alternative means, including in-house printing of answer scripts by the concerned institutions.
FBISE further made it clear that if any examination centre becomes fully ready and ensures all of the logistic arrangements during ongoing examination period, then the board will accommodate it during its participation as per the notified schedule earlier.
The postponement decision will be reviewed within 15 days. The review process will take into consideration the security situation and developments in the region before a suitable rescheduling date is announced for the affected countries.
