FBISE postpones SSC exams in UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain again

The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has delayed the SSC Annual Exams 2026 at overseas centres, according to the details today.

The SSC Part I exams have been postponed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, and Bahrain, according to a notification.

These exams were first set for May 5, but now they will be held on May 12. The delay is due to problems in arranging exam logistics in these countries. The FBISE has said that a new and updated date sheet will be shared soon.

FBISE new grading system

Earlier, the FBISE also announced a new grading system that will start in 2026 for SSC exams. For the FA and FSc exams, it will start in 2027.

Under the new system, students who get 96 per cent to 100 per cent marks will get an A++ grade. Those with 91 per cent to 95 per cent will get an A+.

Marks from 86 per cent to 90 per cent will be an A grade. From 81 per cent to 85 per cent will be B++. From 76 per cent to 80 per cent will be B+.

Students with 71 per cent to 75 per cent will get a B. From 61 per cent to 70 per cent, the students will get a C+. From 51 per cent to 60 per cent will get C. From 40 per cent to 50 per cent will get D.

Students with less than 40 per cent will be marked as Ungraded. They may be allowed to retake the exam if they meet the rules.

According to the notice before this, SSC exams in the UAE, Kuwait, and Bahrain will start on May 5, 2026.

The board said that full date sheets and instructions will be shared soon. It had said further that preparations for overseas exams are being made more quickly to make sure exams run smoothly.

Exams that were set for March 31, 2026, were postponed in Iran and some Gulf countries, including the UAE, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
