Stranger Things ended its nine-year run on December 31, 2025. However, Netflix is giving fans one final chance to step into the world of Hawkins.

On January 5, 2026, Netflix released a trailer for a behind-the-scenes documentary on Stranger Things Season 5, titled One Last Adventure: The Making of Stranger Things 5.

Netflix announced the standalone documentary on Monday, describing it as a tribute to the franchise’s final chapter.

The documentary is directed by Martina Radwan and offers an intimate behind-the-scenes look at how the beloved series’ ending was filmed.

The synopsis describes the season as a sweeping behind-the-scenes chronicle that follows the creators, cast and crew as they bring the final season to life and say goodbye to the show.

The Duffer brothers, the series’ creators, said in a joint statement that the documentary is not just for longtime fans but also for anyone interested in how a large-scale television series is made.

They added that they grew up in Durham, North Carolina, dreaming of becoming filmmakers. Hollywood had seemed impossibly far away to them, but everything changed after they watched the behind-the-scenes documentaries for The Lord of the Rings, which showed them how large-scale productions are made.

The documentary will arrive on Netflix on Monday, January 12.

Meanwhile, the fifth and final season of Stranger Things has received mixed reactions from audiences. While some fans have praised the season, others have expressed disappointment. Fan theories have also been circulating online, with speculation that a secret final episode could be released on January 7.
