Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari has criticised Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi over his use of a chartered plane, questioning the cost to the provincial government.

Speaking to the media, Bukhari asked where the YouTubers who previously criticised the use of government aircraft were now.

She questioned how much the chartered flight would cost the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, claiming that the provincial government was struggling to pay salaries while the chief minister was travelling.

Bukhari also questioned whether Afridi would pay for the chartered flight himself. She said several YouTubers were also travelling with him.

“Those who objected to Punjab’s aircraft now have their own chief minister travelling on a chartered plane,” she said.
Bukhari also demanded that the KP government release the passenger list, flight cost and tracking data.

She claimed the circulated flight number showed an Islamabad-Bahawalpur route, while the aircraft carrying the KP chief minister travelled to Rahim Yar Khan, suggesting it was a chartered flight.

“Empty rhetoric will not work anymore. Show us the receipts,” Bukhari said, repeating her demand for details of the flight expenses.
