Strong sea breezes expected in Karachi amid ongoing extreme heat

Sindh Weather: Extreme heat persists, Karachi to see strong sea winds

Intermittent strong sea winds are likely to blow in Karachi. According to the Meteorological Department, most parts of Sindh are expected to experience extremely hot and dry weather conditions.

The department further stated that hot weather will also persist in Karachi, with the maximum temperature likely to reach up to 36°C over the next three days.

In addition, strong sea breezes from the west and southwest are expected to continue intermittently throughout the day.

It is worth mentioning here that last week it was predicted that signs of a change in the country’s weather system are beginning to emerge, as a new westerly wave is expected to enter the country from tomorrow. Under the influence of this system, a slight change in weather conditions is anticipated in several areas, including Karachi, although the chances of immediate rainfall remain low.

According to a forecast issued by the Early Warning Centre of the Meteorological Department, Karachi is likely to experience mostly hot and humid weather over the next three days. The department has also predicted occasional strong winds in the city today and tomorrow; however, no significant reduction in the overall heat intensity is expected.

The Meteorological Department stated that Karachi’s maximum temperature during the coming days is expected to remain between 35°C and 37°C.

Meanwhile, the department said that most districts across Sindh are likely to continue experiencing hot, extremely hot, and dry weather conditions, which could also affect routine daily life.

According to weather experts, although the current westerly wave is not expected to bring widespread rainfall at this stage, it may influence weather patterns in the coming days.
