An alleged suicide attack targeted the inter-provincial Dajal check post connecting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. Three police personnel stationed at the check post were martyred, while several others sustained injuries. Following the attack, a high alert has been issued across the Bhakkar district.
According to security forces, the suicide attacker was an Afghan national named Hayat Ullah, son of Abdul Sammi. He travelled to JCP from Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan). The security forces confirmed that the attacker was trying to enter Punjab, but he blew himself up at Bakhar’s Dajal checkpost.
A high alert has been issued in the DHQ hospital in Bhakkar city. According to the DHQ officials, all the doctors are available for the treatment of the injured.
The CCTV footage of the incident is going viral on X.
One of the doctors from DHQ Bhakkar confirmed that the treatment of the three injured citizens is underway. The doctor also said that one police official sustained injuries in a suicide attack.
District Police Officer (DPO) Bhakkar also shared details of the incident at Dajal checkpost. According to the DPO, two police constables, including Shahbaz 1058/C and Fahim C/324, were martyred. At the same time, two polio workers and one driver were injured in the suicide attack.
