At least 31 individuals were killed, and 169 others were injured in a suicide bombing at Khadijah-tul-Kubra mosque in Tarlai, Islamabad. The explosion occurred during Juma prayers, the police confirmed on Friday.
The visuals after the suicide bombing were very intense as the Images from the scene showed bloodied bodies on the carpeted floor, with broken glass and debris scattered around as panicked worshippers cried for help.
Dozens of people were wounded, lying on the lawn of the mosque, asking for help.
Pakistan’s intelligence agencies confirmed that India is involved in the incident in Pakistan’s capital.
The authorities confirmed that India has been funding Fitna-al-Khawarij for a very long time to do terrorism in Pakistan.
However, after this suicide bombing in the federal capital, Pakistan is ready to respond and will surely take revenge on the culprits for the sake of every single drop of blood of Pakistani citizens.
Explaining about the suicide bombing attack in Islamabad, Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif wrote on X, “it has been proved that the terrorist involved in the attack travelled to and from Afghanistan”.
“The collusion between India and Afghanistan is being revealed,” he said.
Khawaja Asif further wrote on X, “ security guards at the site of the incident had challenged the attacker, and in response, he opened fire.” “He then blew himself up, standing in the last row of worshippers,” he said.
Khawaja Asif further said that the suicide attacker was not from Afghanistan, but he travelled to Afghanistan several times. The defence minister remarked that the attacker’s family is extremist as well.
Minister of State for Interior, Talal Chaudhry, has also confirmed that the suicide attacker who carried out a suicide bombing in Islamabad’s mosque was not from Afghanistan.
However, the chief minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, has announced to postpone the Basant event in Lahore in solidarity with the citizens who lost their lives in a suicide bombing in Islamabad today.
