Shadab Khan is set to leave for Sri Lanka after Sydney Thunder’s match against Hobart Hurricanes on January 4. Shadab will play in Pakistan-Sri Lanka series before heading back to Australia. He is likely to play for Sydney Thunders against Sydney Sixers at the SCG on January 16.

If Sydney Thunder do make the BBL final, Shadab will also be an option in the final match. Shadab Khan has been in really good form this season. In four games, Shadab scored 100 runs at an average of 33.33 runs. He also took six wickets.

Shadab said he is excited in representing his country again. He is also anticipating being back on the Thunder squad towards the end of the season. “My experience with the Thunder has been incredible to date.” “I have got a great amount of support from the team,” he added.

Sydney Thunder is in a process of finalizing Shadab’s replacement overseas player. General Manager Trent Copeland said the team is trying to get the details all worked out soon.

Shadab’s timetable speaks volumes of his important role in the domestic as well as international cricket. Pakistan fans eagerly want to see him in action in Sri Lanka series. His all-rounder abilities are expected to be key for the national team.

The BBL experience has helped Shadab to improve his game. He is still a very significant player in the squad for Sydney Thunder as well as Pakistan. With the national series and BBL matches scheduled, Shadab is not going to get much rest in the coming weeks.

Fans and analysts alike are watching to see how he performs. How he plays in Australia and in the national team will be critical for his selection in upcoming tournaments.
